       John J. Davidson, 87, of Mexico, died at 4 p.m. on July 21, 2003, at Pin Oaks Nursing Center in Mexico.

Mr. Davidson was born on October 16, 1915, in Montgomery County, a son of Ollie and Nora May Davidson. On November 27, 1943, in Jefferson City, he married Dorothy A. Woodruff, who survives at the home. He worked for A. P. Green Company for 35 years as a dry press operator, in the stiff mud department, and in maintenance.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 25 at East Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Jerry Ostrom officiating. There will be no visitation. Services are under the direction of Pickering Funeral Home

In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, David L. Davidson, Edina, Scott Davidson and wife Jill, Thompson, and Bruce Davidson and wife Ramona, Mexico; one daughter, Judy Eggemeyer and husband Glenn, Jasper, Mo.; and 12 grandchildren.

One brother, Joe C. Davidson, preceded him in death.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Centennial Baptist Church in Mexico where Mr. Davidson was a member. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
