Child’s Prayer

“Now I lay me down to sleep;

I pray Thee, Lord, my soul to keep.

If I should die before I wake,

I pray Thee, Lord, my soul to take.”

Matthew Ryan Keniston, infant son of Stacy and Larry S. Keniston, died at 10:46 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. Matthew was born at 5:20 a.m. on Sept. 29, 2003, at Boone Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at Elmwood Cemetery in Mexico. The Rev. Mike Eighmy will officiate. There will be no visitation.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his maternal grandmother, Joyce Loutzenhiser, Hatton; maternal great grandfather, William Fortner, Gower; four uncles, Gary, Jeff, and Jason Keniston and Brent Loutzenhiser and their families.

His paternal grandparents, Larry and Marjorie Keniston, and his maternal grandfather, Tim Loutzenhiser, preceded him in death.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boone Hospital Foundation designated for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
