   Frances Marie Levingston, 82, of Mexico, died at 11:41 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico. 
   Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Ostrom officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
   Mrs. Levingston was born on Dec. 31, 1919, in Audrain County, a daughter of John Harrison and Rose Ellen Scott Stowers. On Dec. 25, 1941, in Fulton, she married Eugene Levingston, who died on May 12, 1970.
   She spent her life teaching young children at Union, Hisey and Jackson rural schools and at St. Brendan. Later she had the Pooh Bear Nursery School for about 10 years. She loved children and taught them at vacation Bible school, Camp Cedarcrest and in Sunday school. She was an accomplished painter and taught art classes.
   Her survivors include three sons, Dean Levingston, Las Vegas, Nev., Donn Levingston and his wife Kandi, Concho, Ariz., and David Levingston and his wife Judy, Phoenix, Ariz.; five daughters, Shelbe Wolfe, Chicago, Sharon Holland and her husband Curt, Fulton, Sue Howell and her husband Darrell, Waterford, Mich., Sallee Lauer and her husband Stan, Mexico, and Sharie Levingston, St. Louis; one brother, Lester Stowers and his wife Wanda, Mexico; one sister, Nettie J. Given and her husband J.W., Mexico; twelve grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
   Two granddaughters, her parents, husband and a brother, Oscar Stowers preceded her in death.
   Memorials may be sent to the Centennial Baptist Church in Mexico where she was a member.
