Lynde Lee Helwig, 57, of Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Pickering Funeral Home with Raymond Iman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Helwig was born on Dec. 1, 1946, in Audrain County, a son of Vernon and Phyllis Helwig. He was a graduate of Community R-VI High School in 1964. In 1965, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he was in the construction world for 30 years, and recently moved to Florida. Survivors include his wife Cheryl of the home; mother Phyllis Helwig, Mexico; five children, Larry, Randy and Tammy Helwig, all of Columbia, and Ronnie and Justin Helwig, Phoenix; eight grandchildren, all of Phoenix; three brothers, Mike, Dan and Kevin Helwig, all of Mexico; and four sisters, Jean Thornton, Kansas City, Jane Butterbaugh and Vicki Dean, Centralia, and JoAnn Fitzgerrell, Ina, Ill. |
