Doyle Eugene Purcell, 72, of Lebanon, died at 5:45 p.m., December 24, 2004, at Christian Healthcare – Lebanon North. A graveside service was held on December 28, 2004, at East Lawn Memorial Park. He was born on May1, 1933, in Gladden, Mo., a son of Vernon A. and Ruth Wilma (Stewart) Purcell. His grandparents, Marion and Lily Stewart, raised him in Gladden, Mo., where he attended Gladden Public Schools. He married Janie Smith. Doyle has been disabled for most of his life and lived at the Christian Healthcare – Lebanon North since May 1997. He has many friends from there and the Lebanon community who will miss him. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Rector and her husband Louie of Dixon, Mo., and Bonnie Baker of Laquey, Mo.; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a sister, Lugene Purcell Halbrook, Salem; a half-brother, Maurice Grant and wife Margie, Cuba; and a half-sister, JoAnn (Grant) Crain, Overland. His grandparents, parents, two brothers, Clifford and William Purcell, a special friend, Stella Louise Smith, a son, Doyle Clayton Purcell, and a daughter who was stillborn in 1978 preceded him in death. |
