Florence R. Bedwell, 74, formerly of Mexico, died at 11:55 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, at Countryside Manor in Vandalia.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 5, 2005, at East Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Todd Walker officiating. There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Bedwell was born on October 5, 1931, in rural Audrain County, a daughter of Douglas and Jewellena Talbot Newman.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Dale Bedwell; two sisters, Nellie Wilson, Grand Junction, Colo., and Joy Kistler, Arlington, S. D.; and several nieces and nephews.

Two sisters, Jewel Chase and Lovie R. (Becky) Jones, preceded her in death.
