Georgia Elizabeth Watts, 80, of Mexico, died at 6:49 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico. Miss Watts was born on Aug. 5, 1925, in Audrain County near Mexico, a daughter of George A. and Vertie Elizabeth (Hoover) Watts. She was a graduate of Auxvasse High School. She had worked for many years at Florsheim Shoe Factory until it closed. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. Miss Watts is survived by a sister Thelma Oliver of Centralia and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 7, at 3 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Walker officiating. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Union Baptist Church window fund. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265. |
