Agnes I. "Aggie" Jones

Agnes Irene “Aggie” Jones, 90, of Mexico, formerly of Auxvasse, died at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at Golden Living Center/Pin Oaks in Mexico.
Funeral services will be on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Weldon Forman officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Jones was born on March 31, 1918, in Farber, a daughter of Noah Floyd and Fannie Belle Crowdis Griffith. She had worked at the Florsheim Shoe Factory and also in various area restaurants. She was a member of Grand Prairie Baptist Church in Auxvasse, and a 25-year member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. She loved to fish, play cards and was a caretaker for others.
Survivors include one son, Johnnie Ray Woolfolk and wife Carole Lee, Auxvasse; one daughter, Karen Kay Patrick and husband Richard, Mexico; 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
One son Warren Dee Woolfolk; one son-in-law Dale Smithee; an infant granddaughter; three brothers, Wilson, Herschel, and Marvin “Doc” Griffith; and three sisters, Elenora Spradlin, Oleta Mann and Opal Faye Woolfolk preceded her in death.
Memorials may be given to the Grand Prairie Baptist Church, in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265. |
