Ted "Hank" Schoneboom

Ted Henry “Hank” Schoneboom, 73, of Rush Hill, died at 6:36 a.m. on Oct. 3, 2008, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Schutte officiating. Visitation will be from 1 until 3 on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Schoneboom was born on Nov. 6, 1934, near Farber, the son of Theodore George and Lena Rose (Seiger) Schoneboom. On May 3, 1959, in Laddonia he married Joan Stanford, who survives at the home. He was a self-employed farmer who mostly raised livestock. He also worked at North American Refractories, and started the Schoneboom Christmas Tree Farm which is now run by his son.
He was a member of the Rush Hill Community Church and loved music, playing in a band with the Littleby Drifters. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and reloaded his own ammo. He was a life member of the NRA. Family was very important to him and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Forrest Schoneboom and wife Penny, Vandalia, and Brian Schoneboom and wife Lisa, Mexico; one sister Irene Parks and husband Bill, Perry; five grandchildren, Clayton, Jordan, Woody, Lacy and Shane; and his mother-in-law, Earline Summers.
Memorials may be made to the Rush Hill Community Church and sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
