Public Tributes and Expressions of Sympathy

Casey, I was saddened to read of Bill's passing. He was such a vibrant part of the clientel at the E-Bar and A.L. Gustin several years ago. I haven't seen him at the Newman Center for some time and wondered how you all were getting along. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of the family. Karen M. Miller Boone County Commission The Establishment

Casey, it's been a long time since we were neighbors by Blue Ridge. I am sorry to here of Bill's passing. Jerry Shelnutt

Mr Bill, Uncle Bill.... Known by so many. He is my godfather, my mentor, my dads best friend. I am blessed in so many ways to have been lucky enough to have had Uncle Bill care enough to be there for me, when I was a toddler, learning how to skate growing up, some extra coaching through my high school dumb moves, and the ongoing love and support with my own girls and family. I was lucky enough to share the laughs of all his fun with his co-workets and friends. He had so many friends and cherished them all. I am so thankful for the my uncle Bill and what he brought to my life. He is missed. I pray that he can now find peace and join the family that is waiting for him now. All my love to Casey, Kevin, Becky and Blake and Chad. Our Family forever..... Rita

Bill Cedar I had the pleasure and honor to have worked with Bill for several years at Red Wing Shoe. I admired Bill's honesty and integrity, but most of all the friendships he developed over the years with his customers and fellow employees. Bill was loved and admired by everyone who had the good fortune of knowing him. Our world is sadder today with the knowledge that Bill no longer is with us. Jeff Marcus Red Wing Shoes

Casey, Becky, Kevin, Heather and family , Having Uncle Bill(a.k.a. Uncle Bull)in my life has been a rich blessing. When Casey and Bill visited no matter the time of year it became a holiday at our household. Uncle Bill never objected to early wake ups because we were too excited to wait to spend the time with him. He played and created fun for everyone he shared his life with. He layed on the floor and played with my children the same as he had done for me when I was young. He will always be a part of who I am. He has left a legacy with family and the memories. Please continue to share the relationships Uncle Bill nurtured and keep in touch. God Bless . Bobbi (Cedar)Worth

Casey, My heart was broke when I heard about Bill's passing. We spent soo many hours together in the boat in Cananda that we got to know each other very well. No matter what kind of day it was, he always had a smile on his face and talked about his family quite often. My oldest son who was 10 at the time remembers him as the older man who was always funny and happy. I am very glad he was able to make that last trip with us because that is the way I will always remember him. I am sorry that I cannot make it to the memorial service but my family will have all of you in our thoughts and prayers at Mass on Sun. Take care and remember that Bill is now in the best hunting and fishing place ever. Dan Mehrkens Red Wing Shoe Co.
