Harris Lee Wallace

   Harris Lee Wallace, 96, of Fulton, died at 6:35 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at Callaway Community Hospital.

   Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. at Court Street United Methodist Church with Steve Mallinckrodt officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico is in charge of the arrangements.

   Mr. Wallace was born Oct. 31, 1912, in McCredie, Mo., a son of Robert Harris and May Alice (VanHorne) Wallace. On June 1, 1948, at Fulton, he married Sallie V. (Pickering) Hall who survives at the home.

   He graduated with the Fulton High School Class of 1931. Harris Lee owned and operated arcades in the Midwest Circuit of Fairs. He loved antique cars and making metal sculptures. He was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church.

   In addition to his wife Sally, survivors include one son, J.D. Hall, Arlaington, Texas; one daughter, Carolyn Rice, Norman, Oklahoma, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

   He was preceded in death by two sisters.
