Harry Todd

  Harry W. Todd, Jr., 82, of Mexico, died at 7:15 a.m., Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Golden Living Center/Pin Oaks in Mexico.

   Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m., at Wellsville Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Ostrom officiating. Pickering Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

   Mr. Todd was born Dec. 12, 1926, in Macon, a son of Harry W. Todd, Sr. and Vivian Miller Young. On Sept. 25, 1946 in Wellsville he married Mary L. Sievert who preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 1998.

   Harry and his wife Mary operated Todd’s Multipurpose Building until 1982. He was a veteran serving in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #26.

   He is survived by two sons, H. W. “Bill” Todd III, Mexico, and Tary D. Todd and wife Janine, St. Peters; three daughters, Judy Todd, Mexico, Trudy Fisher and husband Robbie, Mexico, and JoRene Dixon and husband Kermit, Derby, Kan.; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

   He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Gene Todd, and three grandchildren, Marci Parker, Jason and Joseph Fisher.

   Memorials may be made to Golden Living Center/Pin Oaks Residents Fund. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
