Mathew Turpin    Mathew Charles Turpin, 30, of Mexico, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at University Hospital in Columbia.    He was born Feb. 2, 1979, a son of Charles F. and Carolyn (Wasson) Turpin. On Oct. 2, 2006 he married Vickie Barnes in Moberly. Mrs. Turpin survives at the home.    He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He enjoyed talking on the CB radio, fishing and spending time with family.    In addition to his wife survivors include his mother, Carol Turpin, Mexico; one son, Clinton Mathew Turpin, Mexico; one step-daughter, Stephanie Barnes, Mexico; one sister, Cheryl Dick, Mexico; mother-in-law, Irma Barnes, Mexico; and numerous friends and extended family.    He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.    Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m., at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. David Hartgrove officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.    Memorials may be made to the Family.

Uncle Ronnie Matt, It was like yesterday that you came into my life you were just a little boy,as days,months and years came and went you become a strong young man,one with lots of faith, courage(yes their is that word uncle ronnie likes)and strength that you would never let nobody or anything hold you down. We became more than family you became a friend one that I laughed with cryed with and just talked with. Not many people get the friendship that we had I will miss you more than words can say, As you look down upon us and keep us safe and you enter into heavens gates you remember that you promised that you and Dad and Donald Ray would play your music so loud that mom and I could hear. You play your music in heaven and as you stroll those heavens streets you can hold your head high and know that you lived you life hear on earth at your fullest.
