Sallie V. Wallace, 97, of Fulton, died at 8:04 p.m. May 4, 2009, at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Okla.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Court Street United Methodist Church in Fulton. The Rev. Diana Loomis will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Fulton. Services are under the direction of Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico.
Mrs. Wallace was born in Fulton on Feb. 10, 1912, a daughter of John Thomas and Ida Mae (Fait) Pickering. She was a graduate of Fulton High School. On Sept. 13, 1930, she married James “Beck” Hall, who died in 1938. On June 1, 1948, she married Harris Lee Wallace. Mr. Wallace died on Dec. 23, 2008. She was a lifelong member of Court Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, J.D. Hall, Arlington, Texas; one daughter, Carolyn Rice, Norman, Okla.; three grandchildren, Dr. Marty Hall and wife Tracey, Mansfield, Texas, Dr. Craig Rice and wife Juanita, Norman, Okla., and Julia Horn and husband Jeff, Norman, Okla.; six great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husbands, two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
