Gary Dean Caples, Sr.    Gary Dean Caples, Sr., 65, of Mexico, died at 12:50 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2009, at Audrain Medical Center.    Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Sawyer officiating. Visitation will be Friday from noon until service time. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.    Mr. Caples was born Jan. 11, 1944, in St. Joseph, Mo., a son of Robert Charles and Cora Maxine (Paris) Caples.  On Sept. 24, 1965 in St. Joseph, he married Sharon Faye Gibson, who survives at the home.    In addition to his wife, Sharon, he is survived by two sons, Gary Caples Jr. and wife Dawn, Centralia, and Steven Caples, Mexico; two daughters, Lisa Perkins and husband Mark, Columbia, and Sherry Caples, Mexico; four grandchildren, Lucas Caples, Shyann Caples, Hayden Perkins, and Sara Caples; two brothers Dennis and Bobby Caples both of St. Joseph, Mo.; two sisters Brenda Wright, Greer, South Carolina, and  Mary Lou “Tootie”Smith, St. Joseph; and several nieces and nephews.    He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Charles and a sister, Betty.    In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Help Center in Mexico.
