Raymond Crain

Raymond Christopher Crain, 76, of Mexico, died at 2:30 a.m., Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico.
Mr. Crain was born November 10, 1932, in Newburg, Missouri, a son of Alfred Christopher and Margret Elizabeth (Shank) Crain.
Raymond was a veteran of the Marine Corps from 1952-1955. He was a Baptist. Over the years he had worked as was a Maintenance Engineer and had owned two plumbing businesses in Branson. Raymond was a 32nd degree Mason, a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and a golf enthusiast.
Survivors include his companion of ten years, Phyllis McCubbin, Holts Summit and her children; Angie Schrader, Wooldridge, Missouri, Bill McCubbin, Holts Summit; her grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie, Rose and Mabel Schrader and Terry, Cole, and Logan McCubbin, and her great-granddaughter, Lillie McCubbin; Raymond’s two daughters, Barbara Freel, Toms River, New Jersey, Jayne Hall and husband William of Woodbridge, Virginia; his two grandchildren, Daniel and Lauren Hall; and his two great-grandchildren, Damien Hall and Cameron Ross; one sister Emma Crain, St. Louis and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
