Mary “Liz” (Hicks) Hoover

   Mary Elizabeth “Liz” (Hicks) Hoover, 86, of Mexico, died at 3:20 p.m., Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at her home.
   Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 18th, at Pickering Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Barnhart officiating. Visitation is from 9 – 11 a.m. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
   Mrs. Hoover was born July 29, 1923 in Mexico, a daughter of Carl Albert and Ida Elizabeth (Hannebaum) Isenmann. On April 16, 1943, in Columbia, she married Alfred Tratchel Hicks who preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1998. On July 19, 2008, in Laddonia, she married Paul Edward Hoover who survives at the home.
   She worked for several years as a Nurse Technician at Audrain Medical Center until retirement. Most recently she had been a volunteer at Missouri Veterans Home.
   In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by two daughters, Barbara Jean Wilson, Mexico, and Sharon Kay Hanson and husband Don, Laddonia; one sister, Norma Jean Pollard, Sturgeon; four grandchildren, Dr. Eric J. Jones and wife Mary, and Raymond E. Wilson III, all of Nacogdoches, Texas, Stacy Jay Wright and husband Clark, Benton City, and Donald Jay Hanson II and wife Heather, Chicago, Ill.; four great-grandchildren, Isaac Wilson Jones, Kaden Ray Wilson, Landon Walker and Layton Clark Wright. She is also survived by three step-daughters, Barbara Dawson and husband Richard, Butler, Mo., Beverly Vendt and husband Steve, St. Louis, and Bonnie Tillman and husband Dr. Charles Tillman, Mexico; and one step-son, Bentley Hoover, Mexico, six step-grandchildren, and five step-great grandchildren.
   One granddaughter, Amy Kay Hanson preceded her in death.
   Memorials may be given to J.B. and Greeta B. Arthur Cancer Center. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265..
