Stanley Joseph Egerer

 

   Stanley Joseph Egerer, 87, of Versailles, formerly of Mexico, died at 2:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.

   A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at St. Brendan Catholic Church with Fr. John Schmitz officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 from 9:00    a.m. to 9:45 a.m., at Pickering Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be in St. Brendan    Cemetery.

   Mr. Egerer was born February 11, 1924, in Wellsville, Mo., a son of Frederick W. Egerer and Elizabeth Kaufman.

   He was a highly decorated veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army form 1943-1945.

   Stanley was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie, Mo.  He was a member of American Legion and VFW.

   Survivors include, one nephew, Mark Egerer, Plano, Tex.; one niece, Cindy Inglett and husband Fred, Watkinsville, Ga.; two great nephews, Matthew and Peter; one sister-in-law, Mary Egerer, El Dorado, Ark.; and close dear friends, Butch and Connie Barton, Versilles, Mo.

   Stanley was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Carl W. Egerer.

   Memorials may be given to the St. Brendan Catholic Church in Mexico. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
