David Lee Righter

David Lee Righter, 54, of Mexico, died on July 12, 2006, at Audrain Medical Center. He was born on January 24, 1952, a son of Perry and Betty Righter, who survive in Mexico. He was a 1970 graduate of Centralia High School.

David was a railroad enthusiast; he collected all types of train memorabilia and books. He loved to read and go to garage sales shopping for treasures.

David had been a devoted employee of the Handi-Shop, Inc. since November 22, 1974. The Staff and employees of the Handi-Shop, Inc. will especially miss David's friendship, sense of humor, and quick wit.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his brother, George Righter, Mexico; and his dear friend and companion, Linda DeBrodie Davidson.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 14, at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Doug Vernon officiating. There will be no visitation. Pickering Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
