Mary Wainscott

   Mary Louise Wainscott, 84, of Mexico, died at 2:25 p.m. Nov. 24, 2006, at Moberly Nursing and Rehab Center in Moberly.

   Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald R. Munford officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

   Mrs. Wainscott was born on Feb. 12, 1922, in Centralia, the daughter of Rufus Garth and Effie Belle (Chick) Stone. On Aug. 8, 1942, in Centralia, she married James Oscar Wainscott, who died on Feb. 10, 1973. She had worked in Food Service at Audrain Medical Center. After her marriage she lived in Mexico for the rest of her life. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Thompson.

   Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Stevens and husband Dewey, Sturgeon; two sons, Howard E. Wainscott of the state of Florida, and Larry Gene Wainscott, Brunswick, Ga.; two brothers, Raymond L. Stone, Phoenix, Ariz., and Richard B. Stone, Paris; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

   Memorials may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church, and may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
