Alice Beatty, age 87, died on Sunday, February 19, 2006, in Fenton, MO.

Alice was born on April 6, 1918, in Moberly, a daughter of O. Don Fountain and Myrtle Bell Earnhart Fountain. She was married in Mexico on March 26, 1939, to John Brish Beatty, who died on Jan. 3, 1971. She was a beloved homemaker on the family farm and a resident of Mexico for over forty years. Alice was a charter member of Kentucky Road Christian Church.

She will be missed dearly by her daughter, Joyce Jeanne Ball and her husband John Nelson Ball of St. Louis, and son, James Donald Beatty and his wife Linda Ann Beatty of Kansas City; five grandchildren, John Anthony Ball and wife Diane, John Matthew Beatty and wife Candy, Esther Ann James III and husband Russell, Jeanne Alice Whitley and John Dattilo, and John Paul Beatty; three great-grandchildren Charisma James, Grace James, and Candace Ball; sisters Louise Ewens and daughter Jan of Center, and Anna Margaret Grimes and husband Henry of Ft. Smith, Ark.; brother-in-law Roy Beatty and sons Keith and Gary; sisters-in-law Helen Jenkins and son Ron and Erma Beatty and daughter Ada.

In addition to her husband John B. Beatty, she was preceded in death by her sister Florence McClaine, brother Everett Fountain, an infant brother Richard D. Fountain, and granddaughter Jane Ann Ball.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 24 at 11:00 AM in the shelter at Elmwood Cemetery with Minister Eric Stevens officiating.
