Alice Florence Buckner

Alice Florence Buckner, 91, of Mexico, died at 5:45 p.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Centralia.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Ostrom officiating.

Alice was born May 17, 1920, in Auxvasse, a daughter of Frank and Adline (Bell) Galbreath. On March 3, 1949, in Auxvasse, she married Marvin Lee Buckner, who preceded her in death August 25, 2003.

Mrs. Buckner was a member of the Old Richland Baptist Church in Fulton, where she was a very active member and served for years as the pianist.

She is survived by one son, Michael Buckner and wife Troi, of Mexico; two daughters, Marnita Buckner, Mexico, and Pat Sallee and husband Percy, Burtonsville, MD; one brother John T. Galbreath, Des Moines, IA; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Johnson and Clementine Galbreath.
