Alice Mae Mason


Alice Mae Mason, 60, of Bowling Green, Missouri, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital - Audrain.


Graveside services will be held at a later date at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa.


Alice was born May 22, 1955, in Keokuk, Iowa, a daughter of Herman Marvin and Susie Margie (Pennington) Mason.


Alice cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She loved to be outdoors fishing, camping with her family, taking walks by the river and enjoying the scenery while feeding the ducks.


She is survived by four daughters, Tammy Blair and husband Jamie of Monroe City, Colettea Crowell and husband Dab of Keokuk, Savannah Chacon (Korey Preston) of Mexico, and Nancy Chacon of Hannibal; two sons, Angel Chacon of Miami, FL and Nathan Chacon of Bowling Green; six grandchildren, Torrell Hawkins Jr, Antanet Hawkins, James Crowell, Betty Crowell, Brandon Preston and Sabrina Kalb and husband Jake; two great-grandchildren, Torrell Hawkins III and Aubrey Kalb; six brothers, Frank Mason and wife Cindy of Keokuk, Oscar Mason and wife Jen of Mount Pleasant, Terry Mason and wife Michelle of Argyle, IA, Stanley Mason of Keosauqua, Jimmy Mason and wife Ann of Keokuk and Rodney Mason of Drakesville; two sisters, Vickie Bakalar and husband Tony of Oskaloosa and Linda Guymon of Keokuk as well as many nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Darrell and Trell and one sister, Nancy Pyewell.


Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico, MO is handling local arrangements and Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA is handling the graveside arrangements.
