Alpha Leeland Durham, 62, of Mexico, died at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at the Clarence Care Center in Clarence, Mo.

Alpha was born May 26, 1956, in Mexico. He was the son of Frances Owen Durham and Betty (Stringer) Nolte.

He was a veteran serving in the US Marie Corps. He was self-employed doing construction and odd jobs.

He is survived by his mother Betty J. Nolte, Mexico; one daughter, Tamra Durham, Mexico, three sisters, Dorothy Elaine Linnemann and husband Harold, Mexico, Clara Alice Smith and husband Frank, of Buffalo, and Mary Lou Scott, Mexico; one brother, Kenneth Durham, Bowling Green; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday October 13, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Laddonia with Pastor Chris Atkinson officiating.
