Anita F. Wallace



Anita F. Wallace, 88, of Mexico, died at 12:50 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at Audrain Medical Center.


Mrs. Wallace was born on Feb. 13, 1918, in Williamstown, Mo., a daughter of Neil Raymond and Mattie Samples Ford. She was a graduate of the University of Missouri. On April 26, 1949, in Hernando, Miss., she married Dr. Edgar S. Wallace, who died on Dec. 26, 1988. Dr. and Mrs. Wallace moved to Mexico from St. Louis in 1957. Mrs. Wallace was a member of the Centennial Baptist Church and for many years was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church.


Survivors include two sons, Rev. Stephen Wallace, Mexico, and Rev. James Wallace, San Diego, Calif.; and one daughter, Mrs. Karen Temple-Davis and husband Don, Paso Robles, Calif.; one brother, Henry Ford, and one sister, Phyllis Hill, both of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren, Sarah, David, Ryan, Megan, Amanda and Mary; and seven great grandchildren, Evelyn, Ben, Victoria, Nate, Emily, Lily and Belle.


Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1 at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Atkinson and Rev. Jerry Ostrom officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
