Anna M. Alderson, 100, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at The King's Daughters Home in Mexico, Missouri.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at East Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Larry Baitinger and Reverend Shawn Martincic officiating.

Anna was born on April 27, 1925 in Moberly, the daughter of John and Mary (Groves) Pace.  On September 20, 1941 she married the love of her life, Russell "Joe" Alderson in St. Charles, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2005.

Anna worked at the Mexico Cleaners for several years. She then began working for the Mexico Public Schools as a school cafeteria worker for many years. She served many students lunch while working at Hawthorne Elementary School and then at the Mexico Senior High School.

She dedicated her life to her faith, attending the First United Pentecostal Church in Mexico, Missouri for 59 years. Over the years, Anna not only worshiped but also served as a Sunday School teacher for a total of 40 years, first at the First Assembly of God and later at the First United Pentecostal Church. Her devotion to her faith and her community was unwavering.

When Anna wasn't busy with church, she was always on the go. She loved antiquing and hunting for treasures at antique shops and flea markets. Anna was a social butterfly, always out and about. She enjoyed spending time at the Mexico Senior Center, attending Blue Grass Music at Centennial Baptist Church, and the Music in the Park. She was also a regular at the Missouri Veterans Home activities, where she loved the music and camaraderie.

Anna is survived by one daughter, Evelyn (Mark) Nachreiner of Mexico; one grandson, Matthew (Valerie) Nachreiner of Mexico; two great grandchildren, Vivienne and Roselyn Nachreiner; nieces Melanie Pace of Mexico, Kim Cline of San Simon, Arizona, and Alicia Pace (Bijani) of Florida; nephews, Johnny Stone of Mexico, Jim Cline of San Antonio, Texas, Larry Robinett (Sue) of Mexico, David Pace of Florida, Dewayne Pace; plus several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Pace; her beloved husband of 63 years Russell "Joe" Alderson; three sisters, Leattia Stone, Luella Pace, and Florence Cline; two brothers, Marion "Buddy" Pace and John A. Pace; and a very close niece, Mary Ann Robinett; and two nephews, Ronnie Gaines and Russell Stone; and a great niece, Teresa Whitworth.
