Barbara Allen Cady of Mexico departed her earthly home to begin her journey to heaven March 21, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital - Audrain, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's and other health complications.

She was born August 22, 1938, to Cecil and Annabele Main of Bucklin, Missouri and attended National School Aeronautics in 1959 before deciding to marry and raise a family. She was married to George Allen in 1961 who passed away in 1973. They had six children, the late Susie Allen of Thompson, Missouri, Brenda, Joe, and Jeff Allen of Mexico, Missouri, Dawn Evans of Mexico, Missouri and Jana Allen of Mill Creek, Washington. In 1994, Barbara married Gerald Cady of Brookfield, Missouri who passed away in 2012. Surviving grandchildren are Billy John and Mary Nichols, Jennifer and Christeena Matthews, Stephen and Christopher Welch, Heather Lea-Ann Early, Josie Allen, Regina, Lexy, Natalie, and Shannon Bell, Alysha Gouveia-Foshee, Emily and Kiana Gouveia, Keegan Evans and Kaden Rezabek. Also surviving are many great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Pickering Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
