Beatrice Jackson

Beatrice Jackson, 93, of Mexico, died at 2:56 p.m. Friday July 31, 2015.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday August 4, 2015, at Pickering Funeral Home with Dr. Rinalda Farrar officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 am until service time. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Beatrice was born Feb. 7, 1922, a daughter of Harve and Annie (Powell) Lue. On July 5, 1939, in Mexico she married Herbert F. Jackson, Sr. who preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1976.

She was a lifetime member of St. Paul CME in Mexico and had served on the Board of Trustees and the Building Fund Committee. She was an avid collector of Salt and Pepper Shakers.

Survivors include six sons, Herbert Jackson, Jr. and wife Jessie, Mexico, Arthur Jackson, Mexico, Gary Jackson and wife Sarah, Columbia, Larry Jackson and wife Freddie Mae, Mexico, Lowell Jackson and wife Jaye, Mexico, and Ivan Jackson and wife Eula, Cordova, Tenn.; seven daughters, Elaine Bell and husband Larry, Mexico, Jaclyn White and husband Richard, Mexico, Carol Williams and husband Raymond, Peoria, IL, Alice Jackson, Kansas City, MO, Bobbette Jackson, Mexico, Maria Jackson, Columbia, and Rita Jackson, Mexico; one brother, Thomas Lue and wife Eunice, South Bend, Ind.; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tereatha Richardson, a grandson, Tracy A. Jackson, a granddaughter, Christine Jones, four brothers and three sisters.
