Charlotte E. Martin, 81, of Hallsville, formally of Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Boone Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Elmwood Cemetery.

Charlotte was born on February 25, 1944 in Mexico, Missouri, the daughter of Tony and Mary (Adkins) Sullivan.  On August 17, 1961 she married Ralph Martin in Mexico, who preceded her in death on February 20, 2018.

She had such a love for the little things that made life sweet. She could spend hours playing Candy Crush, always up for "just one more level." Christmas and the holidays were her absolute favorite time of year; she loved nothing more than being surrounded by family, decorating, laughing, and making memories together. She never missed her daily episode of Days of Our Lives and loved to travel whenever she got the chance. Her heart belonged to her kids and grandkids, and she cherished every moment with them. She had a deep love for nature and could often be found outside feeding and watching the birds. She was also a lover of all things flowers and plants, always finding joy in growing and caring for them. She also loved working on puzzles, and some of her happiest nights were spent at bingo with Rachel, where there was always laughter and fun to be had.

She is survived by her six daughters, Robin Davidson (Norman) of Mexico, Ronda Batsell of Mexico, Rebecca Paden (Todd) of Mexico, Rachel Martin of Columbia, Rita Thompson (Melvin) of Hallsville, and Regina Jackson (Wade)  of Mexico; two sisters, Frances (John) Day of Centralia and Martha Sullivan of Mexico; grandchildren, Addie, Emmie, and Isaiah Batsell, Todd Paden Jr., Tara Cash (Tyler), Jadin Gruer, Kevin Gruer, Adrianna Phillips (Isiah), Delayne Jackson (Angie Mar) and Kaylee Jackson; 9 great-grandchildren.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Nellie Wallace and Edwina Stanford; one granddaughter, Jordan Kay Martin-Jackson; and one son-in-law Keith Bastell.
