Charlotte Wall

Charlotte Ray Wall, 70, of Mexico, died at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at Mexico Manor.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Henry Brewer officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Wall was born on June 10, 1935, a daughter of Ray and Olivia May Teague Shivers. On Sept. 4, 1957, in Mexico, she married Calvin O. Wall, who survives at the home. She was a graduate of Garfield High School in Mexico and attended Kansas Tech, Topeka, Kansas. She had worked in food service at the Mexico Public Schools, Missouri Military Academy and at Mexico Manor.

She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Mexico where she had served as musician, treasurer, past United Methodist Women president, Steward and Trustee.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Rodney E. Wall, Memphis, Tenn., and Calvin R. Wall, Mexico; two daughters, Carol O. Hartzer and husband Gregory, Neelyville, Mo., and Dianna K. Wall, Lusby, Md.; three brothers, Donald L. Shivers, St. Louis, James R. Shivers, Okmulgee, Okla., and Isaac D. Shivers, Mexico; two sisters, Mildred L. Goodwin, St. Louis, and Carol J. Tate, Okmulgee, Okla.; nine grandsons, Aaron Wall, Christian Wall, Rodney E. Wall Jr. and wife Tanya, Caleph Wall, Tariq Wall; Christopher Hartzer, Stephen Hartzer, Phillip Hartzer, and Keithe Wall, and a great granddaughter Kayla Wall.

Her parents, Ray and Olivia Teague Shivers, her grandparents, a brother, Henry V. Shivers, and a daughter, Katherine Lucille, preceded her in death.
