Christopher Larson



Christopher Lee Larson, 22, of Mexico, died June 14, 2007, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.


Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at Pickering Funeral Home with Reverend Glen Foreman officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.


Mr. Larson was born on April 20, 1985, in Monett, the son of Alan and Lisa Kay VanSickle Larson. He was a graduate of Mexico High School in the class of 2003. He enlisted in the Air Force in May 2003 and had served in Iraq. He returned to the states from Iraq in 2005, and has served at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, working as a civil engineer. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Mexico.


In addition to his parents, survivors include one sister, Danielle Larson, Mexico; and grandparents Peggy Larson, Cassville, and Harold and Carolyn VanSickle, Mexico; uncles Jeffrey VanSickle and wife Kelly, Neosho, and Josh Larson, Cassville; aunts Donna Brant and husband Jim, Cassville, Margie Harmon, Cortland, Illinois, and Doris Lauffer and husband Richard, Cassville; and his friend Lauren Aichele.


His grandfather, Richard Larson, preceded him in death.


The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
