Colleen Fisher

Colleen Ruth Fisher, 94, of Mexico, died at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday April 23, 2019, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday April 29, 2019, at Pickering Funeral Home with Pastor Bryce Kristofferson officiating. Visitation will be from noon until time of the service. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Colleen was born in Amity, Mo. on July 3, 1924. She was the daughter of David and Lena (White) Harwood. On August 1, 1943, in Reno, Nevada, she married Cecil Earl Fisher. Mr. Fisher died on December 6, 1994.

Several years ago she worked as a Data Processing Clerk with Audrain Hospital. She had also volunteered for Meals on Wheels years ago. She was a member of Centennial Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Karen Cunningham, Centralia, Nancy Wade (Joe), Columbia, Betty Anderson, Mexico, and Jackie Knipfel (Barry), Mexico; one sister, Georgia Adams, Longview, Texas; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one son, Cecil Earl Fisher, Jr.; two brothers; and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial be given to Centennial Baptist Church. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
