Connie Anita Benton, 60, of Auxvasse, died at 8:52 p.m. Thursday April 28, 2016, at her daughter's home in Harrisburg.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday May 2, 2016, at Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico with Rev. Mark Avery officiating. Visitation will be Monday from Noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Laddonia Cemetery.

Connie was born March 9, 1956, in Mexico, the daughter of Virgil Eugene and Jacqueline Roberta (Huntley) McDonald. She enjoyed reading, dancing, and collecting "items". If you needed something she probably had it.

Survivors include her mother, Jackie McDonald, Mexico; three sons, Roy D. Benton, Jr., Columbia, Christopher Scott Benton, Auxvasse, and Timothy David Benton, Centralia; one daughter, Anita Joy Benton, Harrisburg; three brothers, Randy McDonald, Mexico, Candace McDonald, Holts Summit, and James McDonald, Savanna, Mo.; nine sisters, Kathleen Sue Palmer, Little Rock, Ark., Mary Jean Baker, Mexico, Icle Marie Kotsubo, San Jose, Calif., Patricia Eileen McDonald, Reno, Nevada, Barbara Annette Deimeke, Thompson, Billie Mae Hake, Sedalia, Cynthia Lynn Minney, Mexico, Teresa Michelle Benton, Holts Summit, and Amy Janette Farrah, Mexico; seven grandchildren, Kayla Marie Benton, Devon Renae Benton, Roy Anthony Benton, Alexander Nathaniel Benton, Brandon Lee Longdon, Kyler Nathaniel Longdon, and Nova-Lee Patience Cavender.

She was preceded in death by her father and one grandson Joshua Daniel Longdon.
