Connie Hopkins, 64, of Mexico, MO died at 2:21 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2020, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Connie was born on June 22, 1956, in Hannibal, MO the daughter of Bennie and Mary Ruth (Talton) Holland. On June 21, 1975, in Monroe City, MO, she married John E. Hopkins who survives at the home.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2020, at Elmwood Cemetery. Her husband Pastor John Hopkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. There is no visitation.

Connie obtained a B.S. in Psychology from Phoenix University. She previously worked for Audrain Development Services as a care provider. She was a news junkie, she loved following the British Royal Family, she loved the Clark Sisters, and she enjoyed "Facebooking". She was the Co-Pastor and a member of Word of Life Ministries in Mexico.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three sons, John Christopher Hopkins (Sherita), of Belleville, Ill., Jason Edward Hopkins, Mexico, and Timothy O'Neal Hopkins, Mexico; one daughter, Hope Constance Hopkins, of Mexico; seven brothers, Lloyd Holland, of Indiana, Harold Holland, KC, Kansas, Jeff Holland, Las Vegas, NV, David Holland, Denver, CO, Rodney Holland, Denver, CO, Daniel Holland, Las Vegas, NV, and Eddie Holland, Menifee, California; and four sisters, Mary Steward, Wentzville, MO, Becky Hunter, St. Louis, MO, Debbie Baker, of Florida, and Nicole Holland, of Topeka, KS; two grandchildren, Autumn Chrisiana Hopkins, and Jonathan David Hopkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bennie E. Holland and Bobby Holland, one sister, Charlotte Carter, and both of her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.

The general public is welcome to attend the service while following social distancing guidelines. Please stay six feet apart and avoid close contact. Anyone in attendance is asked to wear a mask or other personal protective equipment.
