Constance "Connie" Hinten
Constance "Connie" JoAnn Hinten, 78, of Mexico, died at 11:25 a.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Golden Living Center/Pin Oaks, Mexico.
Funeral Prayer Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday May 1, 2015, at Pickering Funeral Home with Fr. Mark Porterfield officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at Pickering. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
Connie was born in Jefferson City, MO on Nov. 9, 1936, a daughter of Howard William and Lillian Henrietta (Isman) Lotz. On Nov. 27, 1954, in Mexico, she married Robert "Bob" Hinten. Mr. Hinten died on June 8, 2014.
Connie and Bob moved around while Bob was in the U.S. Army. After he retired Connie worked for the Veterans Administration in Boston for 18 years. She was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son, Steven R. Hinten and wife Patricia, Dayton, OH; one daughter in law, Deborah Hinten, Littleton, NH; three sisters, Alice Allen and Husband Ronnie, Lynn, MA, Helen Lotz, Mexico, and Cheryl Walker and husband, Billy, Phoenix, AZ; and five grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robert "Monty" Hinten; three brothers, William "Bill" Lotz, Gerald Lotz, and Larry Lotz; and two sisters, Mary Corgiat, and Donna Doherty.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
