Cora Doyle

Cora Lena Doyle, 93, of Mexico, died at 3 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 26, at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Atkinson officiating. Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Doyle was born on July 2, 1917, in Vandalia, a daughter of Fred Henry and Ethel Verna (Lamme) Naysmith. On April 9, 1937, in Vandalia, she married Lloyd Doc Doyle, who preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 1976.

Cora was a member of Centennial Baptist Church of Mexico.

She is survived by two sons, Deloy Dee Doyle, Russellville, Ark., and Leslie Les Doyle, St. Peters, Mo.; one sister, June Stuart, both of Vandalia; six grandchildren;eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded by four sisters, Gladys Branstetter, Elnora Jensen, Leta Chenoweth, and Eva Blanch Leist; three brothers, Vernie Naysmith, Fred A. Johnny Naysmith, and Glen H. Naysmith.
