Donna Pauline McEwen, 64, of Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

The family will hold services on Wednesday Nov 13, 2024. 1:15 to 2:00 pm Jefferson Barracks administrator Building 1:15 to join procession to Shelter around 1:45. This is to join Donna and Steve. There will be a gathering at a local restaurant afterwards. Ask any family member for information.

Donna was born on October 27, 1960 in St. Charles, Missouri the daughter of Marvin McEwen and Alma (Songer) Conoyer.  She was married to Steven Lorts who preceded her in death on January 12, 2020.

Donna had a true passion for gardening. She found peace and joy in the soil, nurturing plants and flowers with a care that could only come from someone who loved the earth. Her garden was a reflection of their personality—full of life, beauty, and love. Whether it was tending to the vegetables, flowers, or herbs, Donna had a way of making everything grow.

In addition to their green thumb, Donna was an amazing cook. She loved to be in the kitchen, whipping up something delicious meals for her family and friends. Donna also had a passion for canning, and she took great pride in filling her pantry with the fruits of her labor, preserving the flavors of the seasons. Her talent for food preservation was something she loved to share with those she cared about.

Survivors include her mother; two brothers, Marvin Milford McEwen Jr. (Nora) of Foristell, Missouri, William "Billy" Edward McEwen (Carrie) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; one stepbrother Keith Conoyer of Troy, Missouri; two sisters, Wanda Colleen Wilson (Gary) of Hillsboro, Missouri and Kathleen Ann Sweetnam (Mark) of St. Louis, Missouri; many cousins, including Carolyn Davis of Mexico and many nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband; father; and stepfather Robert Leo Conoyer.
