Dorothy Johnson

Dorothy Johnson, 74 of Mexico, died, Monday, January 13, 2014, at her home.

Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2014, at Lockewood Park Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Jones officiating. Visitation will be Friday, 5 p.m. until time of service at Lockewood Park Baptist Church.

Dorothy was born May 29, 1939, in Mexico, a daughter of Marvin James Munford, Sr. and Alice Estelle (Smith) Munford. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She enjoyed auctions and garage sales. Dorothy frequently rode her scooter around town.

Survivors include one son, Daniel Johnson and wife Marla of Ashland; two daughters, Michelle Simonin and husband Johnny of Fulton, and Kimberly Munford of Mexico; one brother Larry Munford and wife Patty of Mexico; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Michael Steffen; and three brothers, Robert "Bob" Munford, Charles "Pee Wee" Munford and James "Jim" Munford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. They may be sent in c/o Pickering Funeral Home.
