Dorothy Darlene Woods

Dorothy Darlene Woods, 94, of Mexico, died at 1:47 p.m., Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Gamma Road Nursing Home in Wellsville.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Benton City Cemetery, with Rev. David Nash officiating.

Mrs. Woods was born November 19, 1916, in Rush Hill, Mo., a daughter of Harl Stuart and Grace Belle Knoebel. On April 17, 1948, in Mexico, she married Donald N. Woods, who preceded her in death on July 5, 2011.

Dorothy was a very active member of the First Christian Church in Mexico.

She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Cameron Merrow, Arlington, Va; one sister, Betty J. Bond, Fort Worth, Tex.; four grandchildren, Alexandra Woods Bruemmer, Caroline Woods Bruemmer, Carlyle E. Bruemmer, and John Russell Bruemmer, all of Arlington, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to the husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; one son, M. Alan Woods; and one brother, Rev. William Harper.
