Edith Fern Ash, 97, of Ozark, MO, formerly of Mexico, died at 10:48 a.m. Tuesday, June 09, 2020, at The Baptist Home in Ozark.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2020, at Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown, MO with Winston Burton and Rev. Joseph Pike officiating. Visitation will be Monday from Noon until 1 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico.

Edith was born in Middletown, MO on Aug. 18, 1922, the daughter of Archie and Erna (Parkey) Hall. On April 21, 1946, in Middletown, she married Floyd B. Ash. Mr. Ash preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 2006.

Mrs. Ash was a member of First Baptist Church in Mexico. She and her husband Floyd were very active members of the church until they moved to The Baptist Home several years ago. Together, also, they loved flower gardening.

Edith is survived by one sister-in-law, Doris Ash of Montgomery City, MO; and a few nieces and nephews. Edith also is survived by numerous close friends that helped care for her in her golden years for which she was very grateful.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Baptist Home or to First Baptist Church of Mexico. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.

The general public is welcome to attend while following social distancing guidelines.  Please stay six feet apart and avoid close contact. Anyone in attendance is asked to wear a mask or other personal protective equipment.
