Eldon G. "Tex" Mellott

Eldon G. "Tex" Mellott, 68, of Mexico, Mo., died at 2:49 a.m., Friday, December 12, 2014, at SMS Health-St. Mary's Hospital-Audrain.

Graveside Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at Mussell Fork Cemetery, north of Salisbury. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m., Monday, at Pickering Funeral Home.

Eldon was born February 4, 1946, in Red Oak, Iowa, a son of William and Estella Marie (Lewis) Jeys.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening and visiting with friends.

Survivors include two sons, Benjamin Mellott and wife Kristina of Jefferson City and William Mellott of Mexico; and one granddaughter, Estella Mellott.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Buddy Keeley.
