Elsie Jane Starbuck

Elsie Jane Starbuck, 93, of Mexico, formerly of Tulsa, Oklahoma, died at 6:40 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2012, at her home.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum in Tulsa.

Elsie was born on June 24, 1919, in Omaha, Nebraska, a daughter of Fred F. and Cleophus (Smay) Brightenburg.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Tulsa.

Elsie is survived by one daughter, Linda Rowan of Tulsa; one granddaughter, Shannon Mertens and husband Mitch of Mexico; and five great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Kyle, Lanie, Rachel and Ethan Mertens, all of Mexico.

Memorials may be made to the Mexico Animal Shelter. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
