Elsie Stone

Elsie Mae Stone, 60, of Mexico, died at 3:20 p.m., Saturday, September 13, 2008, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Ostrom officiating. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Elsie was born on March 6, 1948, in Henley, Mo., a daughter of Woodrow and Lucille Mae (Robinett) Anderson. On August 14, 1965, in Mexico, she married John Stone who survives.

In addition to Mr. Stone, she is survived by two sons, John Stone Jr., and wife Kelly, and Jeff Stone and wife Tana, all of Mexico; three daughters, Tammy Weldon and husband Jim, Teresa Whitworth and husband Troy, and Joyce Groves and husband Jon, all of Mexico; two sisters, Alice Campbell and husband Rick, Mexico, and Glenda Stephenson and husband Sheldon, Lake Ozark; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

She was a member of First Baptist Church.
