F. W. Bud Dillion

F. W. Bud Dillion, 89, of Mexico, died at 11:35 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Audrain Medical Center.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 3rd, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home. Military honors will be held immediately following the visitation. There will be no service.

Bud was born October 8, 1921, near Middletown, the son of Clarence Eugene and Nette Lee (Henderson) Dillion. On August 4, 1956, in Mexico, he married Nina Ruth Harrison Drouillard who survives at the home.

Bud worked as a truck driver most of his life for various companies. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a big fan of bluegrass and country music. Bud enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife and he loved spending time with family.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army in Europe and Germany.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Lorena M. Mercer and husband James, Holts Summit, and Connie Williams and her life partner Howard Dollens of Mexico; four grandchildren, Tama Bratton and husband Bill, Holts Summit, Gary Wilson, Tebbets, Mo., John Bilyeu, Taos, Mo., and Shelly Chick and husband Eric, California, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren, Shane Wilson and wife Kim, Chris Turner, Tyler Wilson, Aaron Wilson, all of Eldon, Mo., Ciera Bratton, Jefferson City, Shannon Bilyeu, and Mason Bilyeu, both of Taos, and Tiffany Kirchner, California; and one Great-great-grandchild, Hayden Turner.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to the Veterans charity of the donor s choice. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
