Frances Rodgers

Frances L. "Frankie" Rodgers, 86, of Mexico, died at 10:55 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Golden Living Center/Pin Oaks in Mexico.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Frankie was born March 30, 1926, in Mexico, a daughter of Denver Carlee and Gladys May (Jung) Durham. On October 10, 1948, in Mexico, she married Robert O. "Bob" Rodgers who preceded her in death on April 30, 1993.

She was a graduate of Mexico High School with the class of 1944. Mrs. Rodgers was a member of Sunrise Christian Church. She was a former employee of Florsheim Shoe Factory.

Survivors include two sons, Donald E. Rodgers and wife Joy Lee, Mexico, and Mitchell E. Rodgers and Jolene Harrison, Mexico; one daughter, Donna Kay Willingham and husband Jack, Mexico; five granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Rodgers; and two sisters, Lora Mae McElhiney, and an infant sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association or to Sunrise Christian Church. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
