Galen Feger


Galen Leo Feger, 78, of Mexico, died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at Pin Oaks Living Center in Mexico.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at Pickering Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Stanford officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Littleby Methodist Cemetery.


Galen was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Mexico, the son of Leo Delmar and Lucille Ann (Nolte) Feger. He was a graduate of St. Brendan High School.


He was a meat cutter and had worked at several places including Goe Locker, McGee Packing, and Hickmans. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and sharing with others. He was well known for his delicious tomatoes and large sweet potatoes.


He is survived by three brothers, Regis Feger, David Feger and wife Millie, and Joe Feger and wife Dottie; two sisters, Marcella Feger, and Mary Bealmear and husband Wally, all of Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Delmar, Mark, and Donald Feger.


Memorials may be given to the Mexico Senior Center.
