Garry Landrum, 72, of Mexico, passed away at 4:23 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Jones and Rev. Jeff Stott officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Friday from Noon until service time at the funeral home.
Garry was born Dec. 7, 1948, in Mexico. He was the son of Harvey Lawrence and Cordelia Mary (Gammon) Landrum. On April 12, 1969, in Mexico, he married Verna Kay Goslin who survives at the home.
Garry previously worked as a truck driver for Wetterau and Gully and also as a dispatcher for Gully for a few years. He retired from Consolidated Electric Cooperative after working over 30 years as a lineman.
He loved hunting deer, camping, playing cards, reading, gardening, yardwork, and tropical vacation traveling with Verna. He was a member of TPA and looked forward to the annual Turkey Fry. He loved spending time with friends and family. He always looked forward to feeding the catfish with his grandkids, and his nightly "service" with the boys.
In addition to his wife Verna, survivors include two sons, Jeff Landrum (Libby), of Mexico, and Derrick Landrum (Amanda), of Mexico; one daughter, Jennifer Landrum, of Mexico; one brother, Gordon Landrum (Sue), of Cedar Rapids, IA; seven grandchildren, Grant (Jackie), Alec (Emilie), Lexi, Jonathan, Sophia, Chloe, and Blake Landrum; two step grandchildren, Taylor and Tanner Winchell; four great grandchildren, Oliver, Carter, Ophelia, and Ameila; and one great grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Audrain County Relay for Life. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
