Gerald Wesley Cady

Gerald Wesley Cady, 76, of Mexico, died at 11:20 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m., at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. David Nash officiating. Visitation will be Wed., Feb. 22, from 5-7 pm. Burial with military honors will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Gerald was born on May 19, 1935, in Brookfield, Mo., a son of C.L. and Pearl (Gullich) Cady. On Dec. 17, 1994, in Mexico, he married Barbara Allen, who survives. Mr. Cady served his country during the Korean War in the US Navy.

He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by four sons, Robert Cady, Charles Cady, Geoffrey Allen, Mexico, and Geffrey Allen, Mexico; three daughters, Brenda Allen, Mexico, Jana Allen of Mill Creek, Wash., and Dawn Evans of Mexico; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter Susie Allen.
