Glen S. Berger, 91, of Mexico, died at 9:41 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at the Harry S. Truman Veterans' Hospital in Columbia. He was a longtime resident of Mexico and formerly of Collinsville, IL and Montgomery County .

Memorial graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020, at Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown, Mo., with the Mexico Odd Fellow's Lodge #99 conducting the service. There is no visitation. Pickering Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Glen was born on Sept. 4, 1928, in Shamrock, Mo., the son of Morgan White Berger and Molly Elizabeth (Hendricks) Berger.

Mr. Berger was a veteran. He had served in the US Navy from 1948 to 1950. He previously worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer where he retired in 1990 after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Mexico Odd Fellows Lodge #99.

His survivors include one daughter, Brenda White and husband Oval, of Collinsville, Ill.; one grandson, Michael Scott York, of St. Louis, Mo., and his beloved cat, Bella.

He was preceded in death by five brothers; and five sisters, Sis, Mae, Molly, Helen, Rosie, Verle, Sam, William, Morgan and Donald.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Audrain Relay for Life. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
