Harold E. Fisher


Harold E. Fisher, also known as "hard cat", 74 years old, formerly of Mexico, departed from his loved ones at 7:11 a.m. Thursday April 2, 2015, at University Hospital in Columbia, due to a recent illness.


Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday April 8, 2015, at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Mayson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from Noon until service time. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.


Harold was born May 14, 1940, in Mexico, to the late parents Hubbert Fisher and Mary Violet Lue Fisher. He graduated from Mexico Senior High School. Mr. Fisher was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.


He is survived by one brother, David Fisher of Mexico; two sisters, Dorothy Rummans of Mexico, and Judy Hester of Jefferson City; three children, Debbie Crews of Iowa, Greg Crews of Columbia, and Dexter West of Kansas; five grandchildren, Nakai Williams, Jamaal Crews, Ameshia Crews, Celena Blake and Latoya Shelton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.


Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Fisher; brothers, Richard Fisher, Gene Fisher and Jerry Fisher.


Any memorials are to be given to St. Luke UMC. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
